THE POOLS

To make your holiday even more special, we’ve installed two swimming pools.

We have an indoor, heated swimming pool so you can relax and enjoy a swim whatever the weather!

This pool is open during from Easter until the end of October and the Autumn and Winter school holidays.

It is approximately 5 metres by 3.5 metres and 1.5 metres deep along its entire length.

It is normally heated to a balmy 28ºC – at least as warm as the Caribbean Sea!

Our outdoor pool is open from Easter to the end of October.  It is heated by solar panels and measures 10m x 5m.  The depth is from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres.

It has a large terrace all around is a real sun trap!

Obviously we provide sun loungers, pool towels and the all important shower room so…what are you waiting for?

Meet Dora

Meet Dora

Hello! My name is Dora.

I live at Les Coudreaux with my owners, Lynne & Simon.

I adopted them when I was about 4 months old and I let them think that they are in charge - I find it's easier that way...

I have a great life here - I have lots of space to run around and explore, I get fed really great food (well, this is France) and I frequently stay out all night and sleep for most of the day.

The only fly in the ointment is that another cat seems to have decided that this is a good place to live. He's called Gingembre (that's French for Ginger) - strange name if you ask me... I keep trying to get rid of him by jumping on top of him when he least expects it but so far, it doesn't seem to be working. Must work on Plan B when I get time...

You should come and meet me at Les Coudreaux although, if you do, I'm not to be fed by you apparently...

See you soon!

Wildlife and Livestock

Wildlife and Livestock

As you would expect from a holiday destination deep in the French countryside, we are surrounded by the most amazing wildlife.

For bird lovers, there are kestrels, swallows and swifts, a woodpecker, tree creepers, finches of every kind, blackbirds and sparrows, barn owls and tawny owls.

For those who love animals of the four legged kind, if you are lucky, you will see roe deer at the bottom of our garden as well as a magnificent hare and, of course, the ubiquitous Normande cows who provide the milk for the fantastic dairy products which this part of Normandy is, quite rightly, famous.

Of the domestic kind, we have two cats - you can find out more about them under the page headed "Dora".

We currently have 12 chickens and we are delighted to share their eggs with our guests - the yolks are unbelievably yellow as they spend their days free-ranging on grass! We also have 2 geese that we hatched from eggs - it was wonderful to see them being born!  At some point, we will also be looking to complete our menagerie with some pigs.

Games Room

Games Room

Have fun whatever the weather!  There is a dart board, table football, snooker table, PS2 console, lots of board games, toys and a library of books.  You can also borrow DVDs.  This area is a real hit with children and adults alike.
